Star Soccer Academy will award between two and six free soccer
camp scholarships to the winners of the Sa l Murcia Memorial
Scholarship Writing Contest sponsored by the Ephrata Youth Soccer
Club.

Rebecca Thatcher Murcia and the father of Ephrata soccer players
Mario and Gabriel Murcia, died last June of cancer. He was a lifelong
soccer enthusiast who played with a creative flair and loved to watch
soccer. He began playing soccer as a child at a Mennonite boarding
school in Colombia.
