Stewart's attempted homicide trial starts

The boyfriend of homicide victim Cortney Fry is scheduled to face
charges of attempted homicide today in a trial unrelated to her
murder. Micah J. Stewart, 20, of 415 Locust St., Columbia, is charged
with shooting at a group of teenagers outside his house on March 30,
2005. Damien Seals, 16, was one of two teenagers whose clothing was
riddled with bullets after the confrontation with Stewart at the rear
of his home near Avenue H, police said. Police found three .22-
caliber shell casings in an alley behind the building. Seals'
girlfriend, Shonique Smith, 15, testified at a preliminary hearing ...
