Lead singer of Creed goes solo

LIZ WELCH, 15 The voice of Creed is back. Scott Stapp, the lead singer from the popular rock band, has released his solo debut album "The Great Divide." Creed, formed in 1995 in Tallahassee, Fla., broke up in June 2004. When I recently read that Scott Stapp was releasing his debut solo album, I didn't know who he was but, as soon as I heard his first single, I knew the voice immediately. In some ways, the sounds of Stapp's new album are reminiscent of Creed's music, but he is forging a style of his own.
