Juba quits leadership of racism movement; Things just got 'too hot' successor says

Things apparently got "too hot" for former Ephrata and Leola resident Charles J. Juba III after the press reported he had moved his white supremacist organization to the Midwest in order to boost recruiting.

Juba, who organized a Ku Klux Klan march in Lancaster in 1991, stepped down Thursday as national director of the neo-Nazi Tabernacle of the Phinehas Priesthood, Aryan Nations, according to a letter he posted on the group's Web site.

He said he would "no longer represent, hold office or be a member of Aryan Nations," a group which supports the creation of an "Aryan homeland" in North ...
