Custody fight begins over Fry baby; Cortney's family battling kin of father and potential suspect, Micah Stewart

Cindy Adams recalls sitting across from her son in the Lancaster County Prison visiting room and wondering whether he killed Cortney Fry.

"Am I the mother of a monster?" she said of her doubts. "Sometimes I think he did it, but at other times I think he didn't."

The thoughts gnaw at Adams as she prepares for a custody battle to keep the 7-month-old baby her son, Micah Stewart, fathered with Cortney.

Adams and her daughter, Alicia Stewart, 25, have cared for the infant, Giavanni, since Cortney disappeared July 19. Members of Fry's family visit the baby twice a month.
