Is Newt Gingrich Destroying My Marriage?
|
After 45 years of marriage, I thought we were used to our
political differences. He votes Republican and I vote Democratic.
He's pro-life, I'm pro-choice. He believes in the death penalty but
I'm appalled by it. He swears by term limits. I swear at them.
What's more, we've always talked about these things. Our
arguments have gone on so long and become so familiar they seem
downright comforting. After all, a couple that can disagree on
politics for almost half a century and is still in business cannot
be put asunder. Can it?
