Fulton issues permit for craft store near Robert Fulton Birthplace

Fulton Township supervisors last week agreed to issue a permit for a craft store near Robert Fulton Birthplace.

The new store would be in the building across from the homestead. There was some question as to whether a variance would be required, but the supervisors looked at the overall use of the site.

"I'm inclined to say its a continuation of a nonconforming use of the building they already have open in the birthplace," supervisor Glenn Aument said at the July 1 township meeting.
