'Napoleon' stands tall visually on A&E

At a time when we're supposed to be annoyed with everything French, A&E is set to air a four-hour movie about Napoleon.

Well, OK, Napoleon Bonaparte technically was a Corsican. And he was short. But in history and legend, he stands tall. "Napoleon," scheduled to air at 8 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, April 8-9, is a majestic effort to capture the story of the man who would rule all of Europe. In that sense of the imperial, it succeeds.
