Celebrating a rich collection; After renovations, Baltimore Museum of Art shows off its 'Grand Legacy'

Thousands of people make their way through the galleries, scuffing
floors and dirtying walls. Roofs leak, paintings fade and works on
paper deteriorate.
After a while, a museum needs a good face lift.
And that is exactly what a large chunk of the Baltimore Museum of
Art has gotten, thanks in part to Lancaster's Richard C. von Hess
Foundation.
"A Grand Legacy: Five Centuries of European Art" recently opened
at the museum, located at 10 Art Museum Drive, off of Charles Street,
just north of downtown Baltimore.
