Pennsylvania Academy of Music could begin construction on a new 350- to 370-seat recital hall and education building on North Prince Street by next summer.

On Tuesday, Gov. Mark Schweiker visited the academy and presented its founders with a $6 million state grant to help pay for the estimated $15 million expansion.
