16 New Era staff members to receive awards

Sixteen New Era staff writers will be honored Saturday with awards for excellence in writing.

The awards were won in competitions sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newspapers Association and the Pennsylvania Women's Press Association. The awards will be presented during the annual Pennsylvania Press Conference this weekend in State College.
