Jay M. Cruikshank, 73, Alcoa retiree

Jay M. Cruikshank, 73, formerly of Lititz, died Friday of lung
failure from asbestosis. He was a resident of Frackville.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Jay and Kathryn
Miller Cruikshank.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the Coast Guard. For 25
years, he worked for Alcoa Corp., Cressona, as a maintenance machine
mechanic and eventually became master mechanic/foreman. In 1979, he
was transferred to the Lebanon plant and moved to Lititz.
Cruikshank retired from Alcoa in 1987 to tend to his wife, Lois,
who had early Alzheimer's disease. He cared for her at Lancashire
Hall ...
