Dog owner discusses the shooting of Cochise

On Jan. 5, the Intelligencer Journal ran an article about the shooting of one of our family dogs -- a 10-month-old Husky/Akita mix named Cochise. It appears that some of the more significant points of my conversation with Carrie Caldwell were omitted for sake of space, and I suspect that some quotes from myself may be misconstrued as those of a fairly irresponsible pet owner, so I would like to clarify a few things.

First, in no way do I advocate for dogs running at large. All of our pets are neutered and properly licensed and tagged. They are not allowed to run loose outside ...
