The mysterious sculpture of Louise Bourgeois, the French-born New York artist who represented the United States at the 1993 Venice Biennale, leaves viewers somewhere between bafflement and wonder. After decades of relative obscurity, Bourgeois, now 82, has been thrust into the international limelight, as fashion and feminists have caught up with her.
