American Association of University Professors censures five New Orleans colleges and universities

The American Association of University Professors censured five
New Orleans colleges and universities June 9, giving them a
collective administrative black eye.
Higher education officials, however, consider the action a cheap
shot.
Loyola University, Tulane University, the University of New
Orleans and Southern University at New Orleans were all censured for
what the AAUP termed a "nearly universal departure from (and in some
cases complete abandonment of) personnel and other policies" after
Hurricane Katrina.
Tulane President Scott Cowen said Louisiana universities shouldn't
be on the censure ...
