ENGLAND WERE in control of this match until a risible knock-on by flanker Pat Sanderson changed the whole momentum of the game. As a symbol of England's wretchedness it could not have been surpassed. It was also the final indictment of coach Andy Robinson. The man who was a real streetwise flanker in his day has persisted with a back row that should have been dropped in the gutter weeks ago. From that mistake there can be no return.
