It's too bad that the Meholicks, featured in "Magnetic Fields Are No Dreams to Some Buyers" {Real Estate, April 30}, decided to give up their dream house because of transmission lines in the back yard.

Measurements showed the field levels in their home to be only 1.7 milliGauss, a level that no one has ever suggested as a possible health hazard. Even the Swedes, who are by far the strictest in terms of considering broad exposure limits to electromotive force (EMF), have never even considered anything below 2 milliGauss as a risk.
