FROZEN ASSETS St Helena tastes the rule of the new little Napoleons
|
The tiny, tropical, south Atlantic island of Saint Helena - where
Napoleon was sent in his final exile - has only one export to speak
of, which is fish. Tuna and barracuda, caught with rod and line by
some 20 family-owned boats from the cleanest waters in the world, are
brought to Britain four times a year by the mail-ship, the RMS St
Helena. The frozen fish is retailed here by Graig Farm Organics in
mid-Wales, an award-winning business run by Bob Kennard and his wife
Carolyn, which also sells organic meat from 200 Welsh farms to
discerning gourmets (www.graigfarm.co.uk).
