LORD ARCHER of Weston-super-Mare is to be stripped of his right to
sit in the House of Lords and could also lose his life peerage, The
Sunday Telegraph can reveal.
The disclosure, which comes six days after Lord Archer's release
from prison, will be a setback to his attempt to rebuild his social
standing and his political career.
Lord Archer, 63, the multi-millionaire author and former Tory MP,
was created a life peer in 1992 and had hoped to continue sitting in
the upper house, despite his conviction at the Old Bailey two years
