Ex-boxer takes on the racing establishment George Walker goes to court after dispute over right to screen races in Russia

THE CONTEST promises to be as bruising as any he fought in the
ring. George Walker, the former East End boxer turned businessman,
will tomorrow mount a High Court action against the Racecourse
Association (RCA), the group at the heart of the racing
establishment.
The encounter will take place over the next two weeks in front of
Mr Justice Coleman and is the culmination of a bitter dispute over
television rights to screen British races and betting information in
Russia and other eastern European countries.
As usual Mr Walker, who is a sprightly 74, is playing for high
