Acton 'heirs' seek DNA test on body in pounds 300m estate claim

A COURT in Florence is to decide whether to exhume the remains of the British art connoisseur and friend of the Queen, Sir Harold Acton, in a paternity claim arising from an alleged affair between his father and a dental assistant.

The case, to be decided next month, has been brought by the heirs of Liana Beacci, a Florentine innkeeper who claimed to be Sir Harold's half-sister. If successful, it could lead to the break up of Sir Harold's estate, worth hundreds of millions of pounds, including a priceless art collection and a Renaissance villa set in the hills above Florence.
