Forget the expat cricket teams and the bumper-to-bumper Volvos of
the Dordogne, the gawping crowds and inflated property prices of
Provence. Tucked away between these two Anglicised regions of France
is an area known by only a handful of newcomers. Yet the Tarn Valley
will not remain a secret for long: its beauty, low prices and
comparatively Brit-free charms have not gone unnoticed among the
second-home owning classes. One part of the area has already earned
the tag "Kensingtarn".
Until now the long car journey and the lack of cheap flights from
Britain have meant that few bothered to seek ...
