Alfred de Quoy, 83, a retired National Guard brigadier general, a pioneer in the use of computers in war games and an authority on the Irish wolfhound, died at Fairfax Hospital April 27 after a cerebral hemorrhage.

Gen. de Quoy, a resident of McLean, was born in Barre, Vt. He graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., and received a law degree from Boston College. He established a law practice in Brockton, Mass.
