Tussle over height takes Miss France contest to new low
|
THE MISS France contest has descended into farce for a second year
running following claims that the winner does not measure up to the
title.
Sylvie Tellier, 22, who was recently crowned Miss France 2002, is
accused of being too short by a disgruntled contestant, Aurelie Brun,
who was disqualified after she revealed that she planned to have her
spine stretched to appear taller.
Miss Brun, 19, who was stripped of the title Miss Loire-Forez in
October for not meeting the 5ft 7in minimum height requirement, has
now demanded that Ms Tellier be measured by a court official.
