Centre for German Studies launched at Peking University

Peking University and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)
decided to set up and jointly fund a new Centre for German Studies at
Peking University with the objective of improving Chinese-German co-
operation in the field of social sciences and humanities.
For Professor Xu Zhihong, the President of Peking University, the
new centre is in line with the re-orientation of international co-
