Centuries ago sacred Mount Emei was known as the Golden Summit for
the stunning gold and copper temple which rested on its peaks.
Its natural beauty, temple or not, has long enthralled and for
centuries it has been a place of pilgrimage by Buddhists. And in
autumn, a golden spectacle will return with the completion of a new
temple, one spectacularly adorned in copper, the work of one of
China's foremost coppersmiths, Zhu Bingren.
