CLASSICAL RECORDINGS; Williams's `Seville' on Video: Musical Gems in Exquisite Settings

The Alcazar Palace in Seville attracts as much attention as the
music in the video edition of "John Williams: The Seville Concert"
(Sony laser disc SLV 53475; also on VHS). Each of the musical
selections is played in a different location in the 10th-century
Spanish palace or its exquisite gardens, settings that capture the
music's varied moods as well as Williams does.
Most of the program is for solo guitar (Bach, Scarlatti,
Albeniz and the modern composers Yuquijiro Yocoh, Nikita Koshkin and
Augustin Barrios Mangore), but it also includes some of the best
