Cork creations celebrate creativity
|
ASCHAFFENBURG, Germany: As wonderfully impressive as the Colosseum
is, it takes only about 20 steps to walk around it and view it from
sides.
We are not talking about the Flavian Amphitheatre in Rome known as
the Colosseum. We are talking about a replica more than 3 metres wide
and 1 metre tall - made entirely of cork.
It is part of an exhibit in Aschaffenburg in southern Germany
billed as the world's largest exhibition of Ancient Roman
architectural miniatures constructed solely from cork.
Some 45 replica landmarks are now on view at Johannisburg Castle
in Aschaffenburg.
