As the Spring Festival - the traditional Chinese New Year - draws nearer, the issue of protecting migrant workers' rights is again in the spotlight.

Farmers who left their villages for work in towns and cities are supposed to return home for a family get-together during the most important occasion for Chinese people.

But some are unable to take the road home since they have not been paid by their employers.

The fact that some migrant workers cannot get their full pay on time has become a serious problem that even threatens social stability.
