Stop profiting at cost of cultural relics

Local governments should not acquire economic profits at the
expense of impairing cultural relics, urged an article in Guangming
Daily.
Driven by instant gains, some local governments encourage cultural
relics to be transferred to tourism companies for management and
exploitation.
This practice severely runs against domestic and international
regulations and laws on protecting cultural relics.
And it will inevitably generate huge damage to the preservation of
cultural relics.
