Dr. Prescott Ellis Tulloch of Newburyport, a former Somerville physician, died yesterday in the Greenleaf House Nursing Home in Salisbury. He was 89.

Dr. Tulloch was born in Boston and graduated from Somerville High School and, in 1929, from the now-defunct Middlesex College of Medicine and Surgery.

During World War II, Dr. Tulloch served with the Army medical corps.
