Toledo: It's worth taking a look at

TOLEDO, Ohio -- They all laughed when I said I was heading to
Toledo. That's it. Laughter. That was the only reaction to my
spending a weekend in Toledo.
Granted Toledo was not at the top of my list of places for a
weekend, but the idea of going somewhere that did not stand out as a
vacation destination was intriguing. Adding to the intrigue was a
letter from none other than Gov. George Voinovich inviting me to join
him and his wife, Janet, on a tour of the area. The governor of the
state of Ohio inviting me to spend a weekend in Toledo? I'd never
heard of a governor leading a tour; nor ...
