The late, lamented Blue Star Lounge in Saugus was the North Shore's home for country music for many years. Then the jamborees gave way to a couple of restaurants. Now a stunning nightclub, Tantra, occupies the site, its VIP tables and posh lounges a long way from the fiddles and pedal steel guitars of the past.

"We're looking for an upscale crowd like the one that goes to Sonsie and Whiskey Park," says Bobby Wong of the Kowloon family, which runs the popular Chinese restaurant and co-owns Tantra with businessmen Louis Finocchiaro and George Farraher.
