LEO HAPPY TO SHOULDER THE BURDEN

EVERETT - Considering the adversity he had faced early in his high
school career, a separated shoulder wasn't going to stop Gennaro Leo
from playing in the most important game of his life.
Just five days after injuring his left shoulder in the first half
of Everett's Thanksgiving Day loss to Cambridge, Leo suited up in the
Crimson's playoff game against St. John's Prep.
"I just played like nothing was wrong," said Leo, who finished
with 157 yards on 23 carries in Everett's 17-13 victory. "The
shoulder will require surgery if it becomes separated again, but I
can still play."
