WOODSTOCK, Vt. - A couple of times a week, without fail, someone makes his way through this town's quaint main street, then out past the farmer's market and the high school, beyond the antique shops, and into the tiny showroom of the Lewis Bible Bindery.

The bindery sits in a squat, gray building surrounded by a gravel parking lot, and the proprietor of the place is an affable, as-soft- spoken-as-they-come fellow named Darwin - Dar for short, or Darwin Lewis when you shake his hand.
