Ellis April Dies; Was Allergist in D.C. for 45 Years
|
Ellis April, 86, an allergist who retired in 1983 after practicing
medicine in Washington for 45 years, died of a brain tumor Dec. 8 at
Georgetown University Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the
city.
Dr. April was a graduate of Central High School and the University
of Virginia and its medical school. He did post-graduate work at
Brooklyn Jewish Hospital and served in the Army Medical Corps during
World War II.
He was a consultant to the Georgetown University School of
Medicine, where he was clinical assistant professor of medicine. He
