TORAH GOING HOME TO POLAND CONN. SCHOOL SENDING OLD TORAH HOME TO STUDENTS IN POLAND

WOODBRIDGE, Conn. - During the Holocaust it is believed that
hundreds of sacred Torah scrolls were stolen and destroyed during the
Nazi occupation of Europe. Now, a Connecticut Jewish day school is
making it possible for a 120-year-old Torah that originated in Europe
to make its way back home.
Ezra Academy is donating the Torah - a highly religious scroll
that contains the first five books of the Bible and teachings of
Jewish faith used in all synagogues and most Jewish schools - to a
Warsaw school that has not been able to afford its own Torah since
its inception in 1994.
