As a 1971 graduate of a local high school and a former part-time school bus driver, I'd like to weigh in on the issue of tired teenagers on school buses {"Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Etc.," Free for All, Nov. 18}.

There is no question that the buses and class schedules are out of sync with the teenagers' biorhythms. It is not a matter of being tough on teenagers, but of limited time and resources, and kids are getting the short end of the deal.
