REYKJAVIK, ICELAND: A LOT OF LANDSCAPES IN ONE LOCATION FROM SNOW-CAPPED MOUNTAINS TO ROLLING HILLS TO A LAVA AREA THAT RESEMBLES A BARREN DESERT

When God dealt the landscape cards, Iceland got one of each. If
you want crashing seas, the North Atlantic is right there. If you
want to see something that looks exactly like the Badlands, you will.
Another view looks like the Alps. And still another conjures up
images of a barren, west Texas landscape. But the most remarkable
part of these vistas is that we saw all of them from one location.
Iceland probably ranks as the most flown over island in the world.
