GETTING INSPIRED BY RHODODENDRONS: FINDING FACTS AND MEETING THE FAITHFUL

Spring gathers momentum. Snowdrops then crocus, daffodils then
magnolias, on it rolls to those heady days of lilacs and
rhododendrons.
Lilacs I grow. They offer beauty and scent for a few weeks, then
recede into the background with their unremarkable foliage.
Rhododendrons I have just dabbled in (mostly trying to remember to
whack the big unknown hybrid outside the living room so we can see
out the window - the classic experience of most homeowners with
rhododendrons).
But there is more, and I and you are remiss if we don't get off
our duffs and find room to grow some of the more than 800 ...
