Owner closes Boston's only commercial heliport
|
The city lost its only commercial heliport yesterday as the
facility's owner closed the operation in anticipation of the site
being taken for the new convention center.
Boston Heliport Inc. will no longer operate at C and Fargo streets
in South Boston, and president Robert Coyne was not optimistic that
it will find a new home anywhere else.
"My concern is there'll never be another heliport in the city," he
said.
