Rattle plays piano; Weber performs her book

Sir Simon Rattle, conductor in residence at Symphony Hall through next week, has agreed to make an unusual extra appearance as a pianist Sunday at 3 in the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel; the event benefits the Terezin Chamber Music Foundation. Rattle plays Messiaen's "Quartet for the End of Time" with three BSO members (clarinetist Thomas Martin, violinist Ronan Lefkowitz, and cellist Sato Knudsen).
