William Alonso of Cambridge, a celebrated, longtime Harvard
University professor, died Thursday at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical
Center in Boston. He was 66.
Born in Buenos Aires, Mr. Alonso had lived in Cambridge for the
last 30 years. Prior to that he resided in Arlington and had also
lived in California.
His distinguished academic career began when he received a
bachelor's degree in architectural science at Harvard College in
1954. He earned a master's degree from Harvard ...
