Completists beware! A number of jazz and jazz-related series
begin in several media over the next seven days.
Percussion Week '99, a Berklee College celebration of drums and
drummers, will occupy the Performance Center for five nights
beginning Tuesday. Opening night includes music by John Cage and
Steve Reich performed by Dean Anderson's Percussion Unlimited. Other
concerts include a tribute to Tito Puente with Victor Mendoza and
Bobby Sanabria on Wednesday (proceeds going to the Puente Scholarship
Fund), Jeff Hamilton with the Greg Hopkins-led Berklee Buddy Rich Big
