Program's extras help students excel Mentors and more make a difference at McKay School

At the Donald McKay School in East Boston, there are no excuses for students not to learn. If a child is having trouble with math, an adult mentor is assigned to him or her. If students are fighting in the classroom, a full-time social worker helps resolve issues. If parents hold back from getting involved because of language barriers, free literacy lessons are given.
