MATTAPOISETT -- Buzzards Bay seems a logical location for salty immersion and the ritual last swim of formerly summer. Since the day is swathed in a chilling, morose gray, the rumpled sea an oily green and the dank, deserted beach no place for blanket bingo -- how could anybody resist?
