Hixon off US team Cites differences with field hockey officials

report. In a surprising move, 1996 Olympics coach Pam Hixon has
resigned as coach of the US women's national field hockey team,
citing philosophical differences with the sport's governing body.
"We did not see eye to eye," said Hixon, who as coach at the
University of Massachusetts before accepting the national-team post
led the Minutewomen to 13 consecutive postseason appearances. "They
