Charles F. Troy, 58

A funeral Mass will be said on Monday for Charles F. Troy, 58, a
Pembroke police officer and former president of the Massachusetts
Jaycees.
Mr. Troy, who was known as "Bud," died Wednesday in Brigham and
Women's Hospital in Boston of complications after being stung in the
arm by a bee Saturday in his back yard.
When emergency crews arrived at his home about 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Mr. Troy was in shock and a coma, police said. He also had
been stung by a bee three days earlier but was able to give himself
an inoculation as an antidote.
A Boston native, he was a police officer for 23 years.
