Lyres: still `On Fyre' after 22 years
|
Jeff Conolly, singer-organist of the Lyres, works in used record
stores by day and proudly plies the trade of garage rock by night.
Here's what he says about his chosen field of music: "Garage rock
goes up and down {in popularity}, but the people are always the
same: At the lower spectrum of the food chain of rock 'n' roll.
We're at the bottom, essentially, where there's a lot more infighting
and backbiting."
And yet . . .
