Henry W. Herzog, Treasurer, Vice President of GWU, Dies

Henry W. Herzog, 88, who worked for George Washington University
for 41 years before retiring in 1972 as its vice president and
treasurer emeritus, died Aug. 6 at George Washington University
Hospital. He had a heart ailment.
He joined GWU in 1931 as graduate publications manager, then
served from 1934 to 1939 as assistant to the university comptroller.
He spent a year as assistant comptroller and was comptroller from
1940 to 1953. For the next nine years, he was treasurer. In 1962, he
was named vice president and treasurer. From 1972 to 1977, he was a
